Tower Hire
Aluminium towers are also known as industrial towers, scaffold towers, mobile scaffold towers or access towers.
They are suitable for all kinds of work which requires safe height access.
Aluminium towers are ideal for both domestic and commercial use and can be used inside as well as outside.
Aluminium towers are available to hire across the UK from JMS hire depots in Harpenden, Leeds, Radlett and Dartford.
Should you need advice on aluminium towers, our friendly hire teams are happy to help. Call 0845 457 0000.
Compared to ladders, aluminium towers are a useful and safer alternative and provide a platform to comfortably accommodate a worker and the necessary tools and equipment, thus increasing productivity on the worksite (less repositioning is needed).
Aluminium towers are self-supporting and do not need to be leaned against a wall or building, making them a practical way to access height without the risk of damaging your customers property. The risk of slipping is also eliminated compared to balancing on ladders.
Aluminium is a light, practical and durable material, ideal for scaffold towers. Our aluminium towers provide a safe platform to work at heights of 1.2m all the way up to 12.2m. They are available as single width and double width towers.
Both the single and double width towers are fully certified to the latest BSI (British Standards Institute) Kitemark (KM617169) in respect to BSEN:1004 (Class 3). They also conform to the requirements of the 3T erection and dismantling method as set out by the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) and PASMA.

Safe use of aluminium towers
-
- When building the tower, ensure the ground surface is level and firm. Do not use bricks, slabs, boards or any other object to level the ground or raise the height of the tower.
- Each tower will have a weight rating which is the maximum load that can be placed on the castors. To calculate the safe working load for the tower, you must first deduct the towers weight from the weight rating. This will tell you the maximum weight of tools, materials and the user that can be placed on the platform.
-
- If stabilisers are specified, you must use them.
-
- All components of the aluminium tower need to be used to ensure the stability of the tower. If any pieces are missing or are damaged, do not use the tower and get in touch with us.
-
- If the aluminium tower needs to be moved while erected, the height needs to be reduced to at least 4m first. Do not move the tower if anyone or anything is still on the platform.
-
- When working outdoors, do not use a tower in strong winds.
