Podium Steps
Podium steps provide a safe solution to working at height when step ladders don’t meet the needs of the job at hand.
They are easy to transport and assemble making them ideal for high-frequency use and when not in use, they fold away flat for easy storage.
Podium steps are supplied with anti surf as standard, the slip resistant feet ensure the steps cannot be moved when in use.
Available to hire across the UK from JMS hire depots in Harpenden, Leeds, Radlett and Dartford.
JMS offers the relevant PASMA safety training for this product, book your training on 0845 457 0000.
What are podium steps?
Podium steps are a safe solution to working at low-level heights. They are a good alternative to ladders when having 3 points of contact isn't possible (as is necessary when using a ladder) and can be used for a wide range of applications such as painting, decorating, and any installations at ceiling level.
Are podium steps safe?
Podium steps are built to a required standard to ensure operator safety and are more stable than ladders. They come with guardrails so the user is enclosed and feels secure when on the platform and have anti-surf feet and stabilisers which prevent the podium steps from moving or toppling over when in use.
Do podium steps need to be inspected?
As with all height access equipment, podium steps should be inspected before each use to check for any damage or wear and tear which could compromise the user's safety. Should any damage be found, this needs to be repaired before being used again.
